Mii Instructions Generator

An image tells you what a character looks like. Instructions tell you how to build it. Paste a code and get both.

Paste a code above, or open this tool from any character page to load it automatically.

Why instructions and not just an image

The common frustration with character creators is seeing a face you like and having no way to reproduce it. A screenshot cannot be pasted into an editor. A photo of a screen cannot be measured. What travels between systems is the list of choices: which part, which colour, how far from centre.

That is all these instructions are. Each step names one part number, one colour and only the offsets that were actually moved, so an easy character stays a short list instead of a wall of unchanged defaults.

Working through them

  1. Do the face shape first. It changes where every later part sits, so changing it last means redoing the offsets.
  2. Set hair and eyes next — those two carry most of the recognition.
  3. Leave anything the list does not mention at its default.
  4. Compare side by side at the end, at small size. Errors that vanish at avatar size were never worth fixing.
