About Mii Creator

An independent, browser-based character creator with a focus on making designs portable.

What this is

Mii Creator is a free character avatar creator that runs entirely in your browser. There are no accounts, nothing is uploaded, and every character you make can leave as an image, a code, a link or a written recipe.

The starting point was a specific frustration: you find a character you like, and there is no way to reproduce it. A screenshot is not a design. So alongside the editor, every character here produces a full settings list and a numbered walkthrough — the form that actually travels between tools and systems.

All parts are original

Every face, hairstyle, eye, outfit and accessory on this site — currently 90 parts across ten categories — was drawn for this project as layered vector artwork. Nothing is extracted from any game, and no part of any console interface is reproduced here.

That is a deliberate constraint rather than an accident. It means exports are unambiguously ours to give you, it means the artwork scales cleanly to any size, and it means the project does not depend on assets that could disappear.

Independent, and not affiliated

Mii Creator is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo. “Mii” is a trademark of Nintendo, used on this site only to describe the style of avatar the tool produces and to be findable by people looking for that style. If you are looking for official software, go to Nintendo directly.

How it is built

  • Static pages, so it loads fast and keeps working with no server behind it.
  • An SVG renderer rather than bitmaps, so every export is sharp at any size.
  • A versioned character schema, so today's share links keep working as parts are added.
  • Local storage for saving, because a drawing tool should not require an account.

Where it is going

The gallery has 32 original characters today. The near-term plan is more parts and more categories, rather than more pages. Console data formats, QR import and 3D export are deliberately not on the roadmap until the licensing questions around them have real answers — seecharacter data formats explained for why.
